Kathy Schultz
Hi! I'm the band's manager and booking agent. As a Midwesterner, I may not share their New England roots or accent (I maintain that I don't have an accent!), but I definitely share in their passion for music. So, in the summer 1998 when Tom, Denny and Dave decided to travel down this new musical highway as Turkey Hollow [Consort], I was delighted that they asked me to join them on the journey.

Managing an active touring group demands that a good chunk of your life is spent on the phone, and I'm no exception. Being a people person, I truly enjoy talking with the folks who run the concert series, festivals, coffeehouses and folk clubs all across the country. Oh, and then there is the scheduling of the tours; researching the venues; sending out promotional materials; and booking the hotel rooms and airline flights. Then once an event is finalized, I work with the promoter to help publicize the show. Last but not least, I also pass along directions and other details to the band members to insure that things run smoothly. Whew!

One of the perks of my position is having the occasional opportunity to experience a real world road trip with the boys. It's wonderful to finally meet the people that I've spoken with while setting up the performances and the reality of these trips truly underscores how even the smallest of details can make or break a successful tour. But I enjoy every minute of it, because first and foremost, I'm a FAN!. Just watching Dave and Denny trade guitar riffs before a concert for the sheer joy of doing it or listening to the three of them craft the harmonies that give Turkey Hollow such a unique sound makes it all worth it.

Turkey Hollow is a band that needs to be experienced in concert. The energy that this band generates during a live show is both exciting and infectious. For me, there's nothing as gratifying as seeing and hearing folks clapping their hands, tapping their feet, singing and laughing along and knowing that I had a part in making it happen.

Let me help place them in your venue. Please give me a call. I look forward to hearing from you.
